Neeraj Pandey seems to have done a great job at creating this Bio pic. Trailer is absolutely rocking.
Attention to detail is Awesome -> Look at the way Sushant’s makeup has been done to represent Dhoni’s age. Also look at his hairstyle and overall body toning. Credible effort to make him look like the real man.
Cricketing Skills -> Sushant is seen hitting helicopter shots. Apparently a lot of hardwork has gone into learning and mastering it.
The people behind making of the legend -> Lot of focus around the people who have made the legend. His coach, co-workers and family members all get due screen space. This is what the people really need to know about.
Love angle is under played -> Most directors get carried away with the love angle. Movie likes Robot and PK who had Sci-fi subjects also ended up showing the love angle in the mainstream. However, in this promo atleast the direction seems to be honest with the subject, that is, he has stuck to the plot of making of a legend and not lost his way. Kudos.
Moving the dust from the controversies -> A lot of dust will be moved when scenes dipicting Dhoni’s role in team selection will be shown. All Dhoni haters will have a hard time.
What remains to be seen is how the movie unfolds and whether it stays honest throughout and delivers a climax that keeps the audience engaged. If this one clicks then the nation may just get a move on from the regular Khan trio, love, masala, south indian remake stuff. Waiting for September 30th.
