Some common reasons why people oppose PK:
- Some folks are critical by nature so when everyone else is praising the stuff they like to find faults
- Some of them are annoyed with the fact that their religion was targeted more than the religion of someone else
- Some folks oppose because they are hard core fans of other (so called) superstars
- Some of it is probably intended negative campaign of the movie
Having said that a movie is a movie is a movie, while it tries to deliver a social message its core purpose is to earn money at box office. So it will have its share of positives and negatives. This one isn't perfect too. Some stuff which could have been better:
- Have you ever come across a priest who will pull a currency note out of your pocket and put it in the donation box? Do you think such a priest exists?
- Have you ever seen any walls where people stick pictures of God/ Goddess to avoid someone from pee? Really, have you ever seen once such occurrence in real life? All we have seen is a message written on the wall that "it is not allowed to pee over here". Do we ever stick pictures of God at such places?
- The dancing car. How many of us have seen dancing car so commonly around the streets that we can steal clothes as and when required? Really, what are you trying to show?
Understood that nothing is perfect and the idea of all these and other sequences is to create humor by keeping things light while touching the sensitive issue. Hope that people watch it as a movie and move on with the core message. Hope it worked as intended.
